The Party Somewhere Else is a Nottingham-based collective of maverick creatives who happen to be women

Our goal is to create events that showcase work where women / non-binary artists have at least 50% of the creative agency. We define creative agency as the capacity of an artist to act of their own free will and have the power to make decisions about the work.

We are always looking to connect with artists of all backgrounds and circumstances. Through the power of storytelling, theatre, live art and debate, The Party Somewhere Else wants to champion voices that represent the diverse spectrum of female experience and give everyone a great night out.

We organised a sell-out scratch night in July 2017; created Open House events; organised a week-long festival in March 2018, and now we are back!

After the huge success of our first festival at Nottingham Playhouse last year, we are presenting another celebratory week of world-class theatre, dance, poetry, workshops, comedy and cabaret. Our stages and spaces will be exploding with excitement, energy and equality - fuelled by the power of story, theatre, art and debate.

"Major triumph ... Great night, let's see more of them. Notts needs you"

- audience feedback
